When infants reach around 15 months of age, they will transition into our toddler program, where the teacher to child ratio is 1:5. The schedule becomes more uniform as all the children eat, nap, and play at the same time. Children learn how to sleep independently on cots and practice self-feeding. Teachers model how to communicate and share effectively, as well as encourage independence wherever possible. Toddlers are increasingly curious and busy with self-discovery. They typically spend their class time participating in self-guided play, teacher-facilitated learning activities, exploring books, creating art projects and other sensory experiences, circle time, stroller walks, and playing in our indoor play space or at nearby parks (weather permitting). Cuddling is of course still one of the favorite activities!
